Tourism Promotion Committee Spring Grant Cycle

The Silverton Tourism Promotion Committee (TPC) is a standing committee of the City of Silverton, formed in 2008. The primary funding source for the TPC is the Transient Occupancy Tax. By City ordinance, 70 percent of the transient occupancy tax proceeds are designated for tourism promotion. The Spring cycle for grant applications is open currently, with a deadline of Monday, April 15, 2024, at 5:00pm. The TPC will then hold a public meeting on April 22, 2024, at 6:00pm, the location is to be determined.

Grant Approval Criteria: 

  • Provide a detailed description of your event/project
  • Describe how this event/project promotes tourism and economic development
  • Explain how you will increase the number of overnight stays
  • Explain how you will track the overnight stays
  • Submit a detailed budget, listing all funding including other sponsorships
  • Demonstrate a Return on Investment
