The goals of emergency management are to save lives, prevent injuries, and protect property and the environment.

The City’s Emergency Operations Plan addresses a number of potential threats to the community, including severe weather emergencies, flooding, major fire, hazardous materials, earthquakes, volcanic activity and terrorism.
