Maintenance Division

Responsibilities

The Maintenance Division is responsible for a variety areas in the city. Maintenance work is performed by utility workers trained and certified to work on public water distribution systems and sewer collection systems. This division also provides maintenance support for the community swimming pool, City parks, the Silverton Reservoir dam, utility right-of-ways and all City-owned buildings.

Sandbag Information

Sand and sandbags are available at no charge to City of Silverton residents and business owners to help protect property from flood damage. City sandbag stations are self-serve and no shovels are provided. Locations:

Located next to Silverton Senior Center (115 Westfield Street). Turn at Senior Center driveway and continue on to end of gravel drive.

For area residents who do not reside within city limits, please contact Marion County Emergency Management at (503) 588-5108 for current sand bag station locations.

After Hours Emergency:
If assistance is required outside normal working hours or on holidays, please call the after hours duty phone at (503) 991-9795 and leave a message. An on-call utility worker will return your call as soon as possible.
