Countdown to the New City Hall

The New City Hall's construction update as of March 25, 2024

• The Manual Transfer Switch [MTS] for the generator has arrived on-site. 
• The stair rework is underway
• The City Council dais has been installed 

The New City Hall's construction update as of February 28, 2024

• The site wall around the generator area has been poured. 
• Audio visual equipment is being installed. 
• Electrical outlets, switches, and trim are being installed. 
• Security cameras and systems are being installed. 
• Exterior parking lot and site lighting is being installed. 

The New City Hall's construction update as of February 8, 2024

• The reclaimed milled wood from the outdoor covered play area of Eugene Field was installed in the City Council Chambers. 
• Toilets and sinks have been installed in all bathrooms. 
• Cabinet built-ins have been installed. 
• The generator is now on-site. 
• Fencing Panels are currently being installed. 
• Interior Painting is near completion. 
• The exterior landscaping has been mulched and near completion. 

The New City Hall's construction update as of January 25, 2024:

• Insulation and Drywall are complete on the first and second floor.
• Steel re-work has been completed on the second floor.
• Site concrete work is in progress and near completion.  
• Tile work in all bathrooms has been completed
• Doors are currently being installed. 
• The elevator has been installed. 
• Interior wood accent walls are being installed. 
• Wall sound baffles are installed. 
• High density storage units are being installed. 
• Plumbing fixtures are being installed. 
• Bike racks, trash cans, and benches are installed on site. 
• The generator and electrical pads have been poured and site work in that area is underway.

The New City Hall's construction updates as of January 11, 2024:

• Steel frame is erected and roof installed.
• The second floor has been poured, and steel re-work has been completed.
• Exterior walls have been framed and exterior sheathing is complete.
• Exterior electrical gear has been installed. 
• Interior framing, mechanical, electric, and plumbing are generally complete on the first and second floor.
• Interior mason work for the holding cells and armory is complete. 
• Walls and windows have been installed and painting is underway. 
• Tile work in the the bathrooms is complete on the first floor, and in progress on the second floor. 
• Interior finishing and case work is progressing, and the lobby floor polish has been completed along with flooring. 
• Landscaping is underway with completed irrigation, the planting of foliage, and grading and seeding of the southern portion of the site. 
• Roadwork on N. Water St is complete for the season, [Road paving on A Street and within the drive area occurred mid-October], sidewalks around the site have been installed.

Updates will continue to be provided until the building is completed in Spring of this year.
