FAQs

  • You will need to fill out an application to start services. You can fill out the online application here or in person in the finance office located at City Hall, 306 S Water Street in Silverton.

  • A rate sheet is available at City Hall or you can view a current rate sheet online here.

  • There is a deposit required of $100 and a processing fee of $15 for a total of $115. You can fill out the application and pay the deposit online.

  • If payments are not received by the 16th of the month, a $10.00 late fee will be applied to your account. If the account remains unpaid by the end of the month a 1.5% delinquent charge on the remaining balance will be applied and it could subject your services to be interrupted and additional charges added to your account if not paid by our disconnect date. All fees are set by Council Resolution. 

  • Per Silverton Municipal Code 13.04.200B all service charges are due and payable on the 16th of each month.

    • In person at City Hall. We accept Cash, Checks, Money Orders, Visa, MasterCard and Discover
    • Drop Box outside City Hall in parking lot
    • Auto-Pay (directly from your checking or savings account)
    • Online Bill Pay through Xpress Bill Pay
  • Silverton Area Community Aid (SACA) 503-873-3446 is available to assist in making  your payments.  Contact them to see if you qualify.

  • Utility bills are mailed the last business day of each month. You can also set up an account and view your statements online at the Xpress Bill Pay website.

  • Deposits are refunded automatically back to your account after a year of good credit history or to your final utility bill whichever comes first.
