Utility Assistance Program (UAP)

In April 2019, the City of Silverton and Silverton Area Community Aid (SACA) revamped their Utility Assistance Program agreement. The City recognizes that emergencies arise that may require financial assistance towards City utilities. Therefore, the City has given SACA $5,000 to assists City of Silverton utility customers. The program will be administered by SACA. A few of the requirements to qualify for the funding are as follows:

  • Meet the income guidelines for USDA-TEFAP Commodity Eligibility.
  • No delinquent notice is required.
  • Qualified applicants must reside within Silverton City Limits and be a customer of the City's water or sewer utilities for at least six (6) months.
  • Applicants are eligible for assistance up to a maximum amount of $200 per calendar year. (This will not effect or reduce the amount of other SACA assistance funds for which a client may be eligible).
