The John and Mary Ludowitzki House

The John and Mary Ludowitzki House, built circa 1907, by Charles Francis DeGuire, and is located at 840 South Water Street. This two-story, wood frame, moderately-expressed Colonial Revival style residence is situated in a corner lot in Johnson's Addition, in the south area of Silverton in the intersection of South Water Street and C Street.  Water Street is the primary north-south thoroughfare of Silverton; it is located on the east side of Silver Creek. Historic residence from 1880 through the 1920s characterize the neighborhood. This house was designed on the Colonial Revival Style in a foursquare form, a low-pitched hipped roof, simple frieze board and cornice encircling the house. The main full-width wrap-around porch has hipped roof supported by a classically detailed colonnade. The house is placed toward the center of the lot with the primary entrance through South Water Street.
