Committee Overview

The Silverton Urban Renewal Advisory Committee is an appointed committee of the City of Silverton, formed in 2015. 

The SURAC meets as needed, to review, advise and make recommendations to the Silverton Urban Renewal Agency on matters pertaining to the Urban Renewal Plan, project plans, or any plan or project implementation proceedings. SURAC reviews and makes recommendations to SURA on all grant and loan applications. 

The SURAC is made up of seven (7) members (Resolution 23-02 URA) appointed by the Urban Renewal Agency. The makeup of the Committee includes one member of an affected taxing district, one City Councilor, one Silverton Chamber Board member, five members representing business and/or property owners within the Urban Renewal Area, and one at large member of the community.
