Silverton Police Department Patrol Observation Program
The Silverton Police Department offers patrol observation opportunities for citizens to promote education and community engagement. Ride-along applications can be accessed here. Please note that applicants will be subject to a criminal background check in order to participate.
Trespass Enforcement Request
The purpose of this program is to give property owners, managers, or renters, the ability to have unwanted individuals removed from their property. This process authorizes Police Officers to enter said property and remove the named individuals in accordance with ORS: 164.245 and ORS: 164.255 [Criminal Trespass]. To initiate the process, the property authoritarian must complete the Trespass Enforcement Request Letter located here.
Vacation Check
The Silverton Police Department offers Vacation House Checks to provide additional peace of mind when residents are away from their property for an extended time. Police Officers will conduct periodic checks of registered properties during their routine patrols; this includes but is not limited to: Perimeter checks, ensuring appropriate vehicles are at the residence, and that doors are secure. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this service as a proactive measure to help protect their property while they are away. To complete an application click here.
Municipal Court Trial Discovery Request
The Silverton Police Department uses Body Worn Cameras during their interactions with the public. During the Silverton Municipal Court process, the involved officer(s) will be appearing at trial with the video footage for your case.
