Silver Trolley

New Trolley Bus 2009

Masks are now optional for drivers and riders on the Silver Trolley IAW state and federal regulations. However, drivers will wear masks if requested by a passenger.

The Silver Trolley is managed and operated by the Community Development Department. The Silver Trolley provides transportation to the special needs of our community, including, youth, seniors, and the general public within the Silverton city limits and/or urban growth boundary.

The Trolley promotes access to facilities and services such as:

  • Non-Emergency Medical Appointments
  • Local Shopping
  • Local Dining
  • Other personal trips in town

Riders should schedule their rides at least one day in advance for most trips, and as early as possible for medical appointments.

  • If time is available same-day appointments may be scheduled, however, a minimum two-hour notice is required.
  • Trips may be scheduled up to one month in advance.
  • Dispatchers are available to answer the phone between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
  • Callers can leave voicemails 24 hours a day.

The Silver Trolley is a not-for-profit service, funding by federal and state grants as well as City funds. Individuals are not required to pay for this service; however, donations and cash contributions are greatly appreciated and help the city continue to provide the community with this essential transportation service.
