SILVERTON, Ore. — On Tuesday evening, April 7, 2026, at approximately 11:30 PM, a Silverton Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling westbound on Silverton Road for speeding.
The vehicle initially slowed but failed to yield to emergency lights and siren for over a mile before eventually coming to a stop. The driver was identified and found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license. The individual also had an outstanding felony warrant for their arrest.
Following the arrest, officers began an inventory search of the vehicle prior to towing, in accordance with department policy. During the inventory, officers located suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia. At that point, the inventory search was discontinued, and the vehicle was seized and impounded pending a search warrant.
Officers applied for and obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, which was signed by a Marion County Judge. Upon execution of the search warrant, officers seized significant quantities of suspected controlled substances, including methamphetamine, cocaine, ketamine, and MDMA. In addition, officers recovered packaging materials, scales, and cash consistent with drug distribution and manufacturing.
The driver was subsequently charged with felony possession of controlled substances and additional drug-related offenses.
