Description:
The City of Silverton, Oregon is seeking bids from qualified contractors to replace nineteen (19) valves and actuators at the Water Treatment Plant. Project includes removal of pneumatic valve actuators, and replacement with electric valve actuators. The valves include:
- Four (4) 8” Effluent Valves at Plant 2
- Four (4) 12” Backwash Valves at Plant 2
- Four (4) 6” Filter to Waste Valves at Plant 2
- Four (4) 2” Surface Wash Valves at Plant 2
- One (1) 12” Waste Valve located outside between Plant 1 and Plant 2
- One (1) 12” Abiqua Creek Valve located outside between Plant 1 and Plant 2
- One (1) 12” Silver Creek Valve located outside between Plant 1 and Plant 2
The new valves will match the existing valves in size and style and meet current AWWA and NSF 61 specifications. There are existing conduits within Plant 2 that can be used to run power to the valves at Plant 2. Conduits will need to be run to the valves outside the plant as the existing valves are manual. Contractor is responsible for running all conduits and wiring necessary to complete the project. The Contractor will hire The Automation Group (TAG), the City’s integrator, to program the new actuators into the City SCADA system
