The City of Silverton is requesting proposals from qualified consulting engineering firms to provide professional services for an Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Design and Permitting Study for the municipal water system.
The study shall advance the preferred ASR alternative to an approximate 30 percent design level sufficient to support permitting, budgeting, and future final design and construction activities.
The City has completed feasibility-level investigations including exploratory drilling, aquifer testing, and hydrogeologic evaluations of the Columbia River Basalt Group aquifer system. These efforts have identified potential ASR sites capable of supporting seasonal storage and recovery of potable water supplies.
The purpose of this study is to advance the preferred ASR alternative into preliminary design and permitting, providing the technical, regulatory, operational, and cost information necessary to support future final design and construction.
